 Class Descriptions &Things To Know

  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to class if time allows
     

  • Wear comfortable clothes, bring your yoga mat and a water bottle
    (If you need a mat, they are available upon request & there is a water machine available to all students)

     

  • Remove your shoes in the entry area outside of the yoga room
     

  • Leave any and all devices outside of the yoga room
     

  • These are the common weekly classes offered Sangha, and may not always be on the current weeks schedule. Be sure to review the current weeks scheduled classes! 
     

  • First time students at Sangha please come early (5-10mins) to fill out a new student wavier form at the check in desk

 

SUNday Yoga

SUNDAY'S 9:30-10:30am with Jess

An all level class based around Surya Namaskars (SUN salutations) to start your SUNday off strong and bright. This class will offer modifications and possible assists through out the class to anyone looking for a variation of the class Surya Namaskar A.

Explorer's Yoga

SUNDAY'S 4:00-5:30pm with Catherine

A mosaic of yogic practices are explored in this eclectic 90 minute session. Designed to encourage a spirit of inquiry, deepen the inward journey, and assist in development of independent home practice; this class offers a community of support to the participants. This class will build towards a greater sense of well-being and wholeness by making many small simple connection, and observing our experience of the process. Our investigations include Asana (physical poses). Pranayama (Breath Study), Dhyana (Meditation), a form of Bhakti yoga (Devotional Practice), Chanting, and more. A full 5 minute savasana, with aromatherapy, completes each class. All levels welcome.

Ashtanga Yoga

MONDAY'S 4:15-5:15pm with Bobbi

Let go of tension in this class designed to connect body movement, breath and a focused mind. In each pose, there's an opportunity to find proper alignment, challenge your body and focus on breathing. This class is open to all levels. We will move from sitting to standing poses without support.

Vinyasa Flow

MONDAY'S 5:30-6:30pm with Jen

Gentle Yoga

TUESDAY'S 5:30-6:30pm with Jess

This class is open to every body type and all levels of yoga experience. Jess will guide the students through a soul-full practice focusing on the entire being. From the crown of the head to the sole of each foot. Exploring and feeling the benefits of a full body stretch through a sequence of yoga poses with the use of any and all available props the student may need to find their version of that pose.

Sunrise Flow

WEDNESDAY'S 5:30-6:30am with Jen

Jump start your mid week blues with some active vinyasa style flows. This class will include moving from the floor to standing with the opportunity to incorporate the use of props and assist toe deepen your practice on the mat in the morning. All levels welcome.

Yin Yoga

WEDNESDAY'S 7:00-8:00pm with Rikki

This is a great way to wind down mid week with a yin style class. Yin yoga focuses on holding the poses longer and slowing down the pace, creating space and allowing time to go inward. All levels welcome.

Slow Flow

THURSDAY'S 7:15-8:15pm with Lori

This slow flowing practice will progress gradually, exploring strength and flexibility for the first 45 minutes of the class. The last 15 minutes of the class will be slowing things down into a guided yoga nidra practice/meditation.  All levels welcome.

This is a DONATION based class. Meaning, it can be free to you, or give what you can, or a non-perishable food item. All proceeds will go to support out seva work at the studio.

Seva Saturday Classes

Most Saturday's 11:00-Noon - Rotating Teacher

The intention behind this class is clear. A different teacher each week from all over the community, sharing the gift of yoga in a donation based class. Seva - meaning selfless service, is coming from both the teacher and the students. This could be a power class, slow flow, ashtanga based, meditation, yin or a restorative class - whatever that teacher wants to offer to the public. All levels welcome.
